The Covenant Pulpit

Come & Hear the Word!

We practice serial, expository, exegetical preaching of God's Word!

Each Lord's Day Morning and Evening the Holy Scriptures are read and preached with emphasis on the original context, with application made to our lives today!

Wednesday evening at 6:30 the Scriptures are looked at devotionally with an eye on promoting our love for the LORD and Corporate Prayer.

Why all this interest in the reading and preaching of God's Word?  Because we believe this is what the Scripture teaches & that it is a means of grace, which He provides for our instruction, correction, strengthening and encouragement.

Dr. Willborn is presently preaching serially through the Gospel of Mark on the Lord's Day mornings; a series that has involved over eighteen months of exposition. Nearing the account of our LORD's substitutionary sacrifice on behalf of his people, we have examined the details of His perfect life of obedience as the incarnate God-man.  The supernatural deeds and life-changing teachings of our loving Savior have served to encourage and challenge the saints of CPC.

The current evening series is an expository series through selected chapters of the Book of Psalms.  The Psalms are at the heart of the Bible and address the heart of man.  Our Triune God is presented throughout the Psalms, but especially our Savior Jesus Christ is presented in the Psalms in a life changing way.

Recent sermon series emanating from the Covenant Pulpit and available for your edification include: 1) a biblical exposition supporting and explaining the vows that must be taken and held by members of CPC and every Presbyterian Church in America congregation; 2) the OT books of Ruth and Malachi;  and, 3) a mini-series from Exodus 32-34 on covenant breaking and God's steadfast love.  All of these sermons may may be heard through Sermon Cloud.
